Sponsorship marketing doesn’t have to be dull and boring. As the Executive Creative Director at 88 Brand Partners my team explored unique ways to call attention to our brand and agency capabilities. One stand out idea was the sponsorship of an international squash tournament held annually in Chicago. We developed multiple communications around a fictional character, Hans Hot Ball, the best player in the world. Included in this madness was real time Twitter updates during matches by Hans expressing his displeasure for the poor play and uninspired outfits he was seeing. This was a heck of a lot of fun to create and unleash on the tournament.
