The new name, Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists, recognizes a broader range of expertise and support in diabetes care. This significant change led many brands associated with the discipline to rename and rebrand, including the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), an organization that focuses on making sure that all people with diabetes and pre-diabetes have access to care.
